How do I trade on the London stock Exchange?

I recently started a Scottrade account and now I am wondering if there is a way for me to trade stocks from the LSE. I am of course at work when the NYSE is trading and I am thinking that I might be better off trading on the London market which will be open when I am home. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hmmm, I believe you can do that through Interactive brokers or Etrade.
Scotttrade does not allow that.
Do not be scared of the higher commissions, these brokers provide good tools and education plus lots of great features which in my opinion is worth more than scotttrades low commissions.
Think if it this way, you plan to make thousands in the markets, why try to save a few dollars on each trade if you get better stuff elsewhere.
Of course if you trade a lot then it might make sense to stay where you are.

Another thing is always trade in markets where you get lots of info. LSE might be convenient but do you know the companies , way things work there?
